Things to do in Pembrokeshire this Summer!

☀️ Why visit Pembrokeshire this Summer?

Because we have SO much going on! Whether you're after festivals (music, food or literary), family fun days or fitness face offs, or even something completely different, there's definitely at least one thing that'll take your fancy. Check out the longer dated list at the end.

Speaking of festivals, take your pick!

🧘 In June we have a bit of wellness at Unearthed with music, dance, workshops, meditation, vegetarian food and more.

🎸 Get your groove on in July at Westival, Edgefest, Saundersfest, and Welshstock, all featuring live music among other events over multiple days. Or visit one of the many venues throughout Fishguard over August and September taking part in Fishguard Music Festival.

🌭 If you want the focus of your fest to be food, we have TWO multi-day Street Food Festivals this summer, one in June in Tenby and one in August in Milford Haven, as well as the Cider and Sausage Festival in July featuring a performance by The Wurzels, and Narberth Cheese Festival in August!

📖 And because I bet you're curious, we also have Llangwm Literary Festival in August, showcasing the best in writing alongside creative writing and art workshops for adults and kids.

For family fun, there's enough to fill every single day with quality time and make fantastic memories.

🏰 Take it back to Medieval times in July with Days of Medieval Merriment including Horrible Histories at Carew Castle and Merrymakers Knight School at Pembroke Castle. Continuing on in August with Black Mountains Falconry, an action packed Weekend of Weaponry & Warfare, and the Forest Fairy Friends Festival.

🎢 Oakwood are going back even further to the dawn of time with Jurassic June. Don't miss Summer Mania through all of August.

🎥 Make the most of the long nights and snuggle up outside with the Torch Theatre's Sunset Cinema at Milford Waterfront and Pembroke Castle with multiple showings throughout the summer.

👻 Can't wait until October for the spooky season? Book a guided Ghost Walk at Carew Castle on select dates in July and August.

🐶 And don't worry, Carew Castle haven't forgotten the most important members of the family. Check out their Doggy Day Out in July where you can put both your skills (master and pup) to the test in the dog agility course, enter the dog show and check out the stalls.

If you want to experience the beauty of Pembrokeshire whilst accomplishing some incredible fitness feats, there's plenty to get your teeth stuck into!

🏊 The Wales Swim on June 30th is held at Tenby North Beach, potentially the most photographed beach in Pembrokeshire.

🚴 The Wales Sportive on July 1st is a closed road bike race, with distances ranging from 42 miles for the short course to 112 miles for the full course taking you throughout the county. It's also the only televised Sportive in the UK!

🏃 The Veloforte Wales Marathon on July 2nd has various distances available including Wales' only fully closed Marathon, and is set within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

Reckon you can demolish them all? Join the full Long Course Weekend! Or sign up for one of our Triathlons. Choose from Challenge Wales in June, Pembrokeshire Coast in July and Saundersfoot in September.

💪 Or maybe Ironman Wales at the beginning of September.

Jason, AirBnB

Just returned home for a fabulous 2 nights in a luxury safari tent. The tent was very well equipped and spotlessly clean with lovely comfortable beds.

Hayley Smithers, Facebook

A fantastic weekend at the Classic Car Rally, staying in the Glamping Pods. Would recommend very highly, stunning, clean & so comfy! Next thing to try is the Bluebells.

Stephen Scouse Roberts, Facebook

We were very impressed by the site itself, the staff, the food, everything, but mostly Ollie! From the first chat on the phone he was not pushy at any time (which would have made us walk away), so helpful, extremely informative & nothing was too much trouble.
