Can you support a busy restaurant kitchen? This is a real hands on role within a fast paced, dynamic business with three Charlie's Restaurants and Bars - currently holding the accolade of Best Caravan and Glamping in Wales. Experience not necessary.

Celtic Holiday Parks is a multi award winning Holiday Park company based in Pembrokeshire, with 3 Holiday Parks within the south of the County. Celtic offers a combination of holiday rental accommodation including glamping, luxury lodges and static caravans, the Charlie’s brand of restaurants based at each Park, together with swimming pools, gyms and Celtic Wellbeing fitness & wellbeing – all of which are also open to the public.

Role Title: Kitchen Porter

Location: Charlie’s Restaurants and Bars based at the following locations:

Charlie’s Restaurant & Bar, Croft Country Park, Reynalton, Kilgetty, Pembrokeshire SA68 OPE
Charlie’s Restaurant @ Meadow House, Summerhill, Amroth, Pembrokeshire SA67 8NS
Charlie’s Celtic Tavern at Noble Court & Celtic Escapes, Redstone Road, Narberth, Pembrokeshire SA67 7ES

Salary: £5.50 – 9.50 per hour subject to age and experience

Hours: 40 hours per week (Full time, permanent), including weekends on rota year round.

We also welcome applications for part time employment at a pro rata rate and are happy to discuss hours and flexibility.

Reports to: Managing Director, General Manager

Job Purpose: To play a key role in supporting the kitchen team to create and maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment, as well as supporting preparation of menu items.

Main Duties:

Operations and standards

Creating and maintaining a safe and clean working environment in line with food service hygiene and preparation standards.
Maintaining all cleaning equipment
Cleaning cutlery, crockery, cooking equipment etc
Cleaning and clearing all kitchen areas including emptying bins, sweeping and mopping floors
Cleaning and deep cleaning of fridges, any store rooms and storage facilities
Assisting with pre service food preparation

Competencies

Willingness to learn and develop on the job, taking on board the opportunity to gain new skills and experience
Ability to work under pressure, especially during busy service times
Flexible, punctual and excellent time keeping
Ability to follow processes as set within the working environment
A real team player with a passion for great food

Reporting

General Manager, Managing Director and Departmental Heads as relevant.
